– Florence Cathedral: one of the most if not the most beautiful place you will see in
Florence! Fun fact, it is the 4th largest cathedral in the world! You can visit it for free so do
not hesitate and go see the impressive artworks and mosaics.
– Giotto’s Bell Tower, next to the Cathedral it is an 84,7 metres tall tower with a 14 th
century Gothic architecture. Climb the 414 steps and arrived at the top to enjoy and breath-
taking view of Florence! Next to the tower you can also visit the Baptistery of San Giovanni,
Museo dell’Opera and some other monuments and museums of the Duomo Complex for only
18€ with the OPA Pass (a must have if you want to visit the main monuments of Florence).
– Ponto Vecchio: this emblematic bridge located on the Arno river will allow you to
have a wonderful view on Florence but also to do some shopping! Indeed, this bridge is full
of little jewellery stores. The visit is free, the view wonderful, so make this place a must-see
during your trip! If you are with your lover, hang a little locker on the bridge to celebrate your
love in this romantic place.
– Uffizi Galleries: one of the oldest art museums of the city. Full of beautiful
Renaissance arts from famous artists like Michelangelo, Raffaello, Botticelli and so on!

– Galleria dell’Accademia: if you are a fan of Michelangelo’s work or interested in,

– Piazzale Michelangelo: situated in the heights of Florence, enjoy the breath-taking
and panoramic view of the city. You will feel like you are inside a postcard from Florence!
Florence is also known for its many markets. Our recommendation is the San Lorenzo
Market (also called Mercato Centrale) as it is a Florence institution. The market is in two part,
an indoor and an outdoor section. On the outdoor part are many souvenirs shops where you
can find gifts and souvenirs to buy like potteries, notebooks, and clothing’s.
On the indoors ground floor is a market with local product such as fish, vegetables, meat and
so on while on the first floor you will find some great restaurants, bars and cafés where you
can eat and hang at affordable prices while feeling like a true Italian! This spot is perfect for
lunch as you can find all the traditional food. Our recommendation? Drinking some Italian
wine while eating a pizza or some fresh pasta! (fun fact: this place makes pizza in a very
traditional way that you can only find here, so give it a taste and discover the story behind

After a good night sleep in our cosy hotel, you will continue your Italian adventure by visiting
the capital of the country: Roma! This city used to be the capital of one of the world’s most
powerful ancient empires! So, pack your bags and your camera to start the visit of this
fascinating place as the day ahead of you is full of sight-seeing and discoveries!
We will start the journey with a three-hour guided tour which will help you see and admire the
main places of Roma while discovering the history…
Roma being a culturally rich city, after your tour there are many places that you need to go
see and visit in order to fully immerge yourself into the Italian culture.
First stop, the Colosseum! Mythic place in Roma, embark on a Roman adventure by visiting
this huge amphitheatre that as witnessed some of the best gladiator tournaments. Moreover,
next to the Colosseum, you will find the Forums who hold many ruins of the Roman
architectures such temples, squares and arches. Visiting the Forum and the Colosseum is a
unique experience that feel like you are going back in time so do not miss this opportunity!

Continue your adventure by stopping at the famous Trevi Fountain! Known for being a
romantic spot, you might see a lot of proposal there! Take some lovelies picture behind this
beautiful monument! Make sure before you leave to throw three coins into the fountain as
according to legends, the first coin guarantees your return to Rome, the second will ensure
romance and the third ensures marriage!
After this romantic escapade, you can make a stop at the Pantheon. This beautiful piece of
architecture is known as one of the best preserved ancient Roman buildings in the world!
Visit it for free and enjoy the amazing architectures and stories behind this place.
Finally, you might want to stop at the Vatican to visit the St Peter’s Square near the St
Peter’s Basilica. These places play a huge part in the catholic history, but they are also
beautiful pieces of architectures and arts. While visiting the Basilica, we recommend you
climb at the top of it to have a marvellous view of St Peters Place and Roma in general.
(Entry into the Basilica is free, climbing to the top of the Dome will cost 6€ if you take the 551
steps or 8€ for lift + last 320 steps). Next to the Basilica is also the Sistine Chapel that hold
the worldwide famous ‘The Creation of Adam’ painting made by Michelangelo, a mythic
painting that you need to see in real life once in your life! (Tickets cost 16€ for adults, 8€ for
students aged between 19 to 26).
Sight-seeing and visiting are great but what about a little break? Our recommendation for a
nice fulfilling break? Some Italian pizzas! In Roma, La Montecarlo pizzeria is really liked by
the locals and especially the students as this place offers some of the best Pizzas in Roma at
reasonable prices! If pasta is more your thing, stop at the Antica Birreria Peroni, close to the
Trevi Fountain, this restaurant is very appreciated by locals at offers some delicious pasta
dishes at affordable prices.
You might also want to taste some delicious Italian ice-cream, we heard that La Romana
shops (3 around Roma), serve some of the best gelato of Roma. They also own white and
dark chocolate fountain so that you can gill the tip of your cone. So, go and have a taste at
this delicious ice-cream!
Before you leave, make sure you stop at souvenirs shops to bring home a tiny Colosseum!

The end of the journey will come as the last day start with a last stop, in Verona. This ancient
city has an important history stretching back to Roman times. Cut through its centre by the
river Adige, it is a gorgeous town full of winding streets, lively bars, intimate restaurants and
bustling piazzas. More than that, Verona is THE city of Romeo and Juliet, fan of the story will
enjoy all the monuments dedicated to it! For romantic film lovers many romantic comedies
have scenes filmed there such as Letter to Juliet, Romeo & Juliet or I love you, je t’aime, …,
so being in Verona will transport you inside a true romantic comedy! Nevertheless, as a lot to
offer even if you are not the romantic type, here are some places that you need to see!
First stop Verona Arena! Smaller than the one in Roma, however, Verona’s Arena is in better
conservation and offer a real sneak peek at what it used to be during the Roman area (entry
fee of 10€).
After seeing the Arena, enjoy the visit of the Castle Vecchio and its bridge up the Adige
River. Enjoy the beautiful architecture and view that you will get there while feeling like a you
are back into the Renaissance.
Make sure after your visit to follow the course of the river to enjoy the atmosphere of the city
to the fullest but also to see the bridge from far away.
Not far from the bridge, as you walk along the Adige, you will find the Basilica of San Zeno
Maggiore, a beautiful Basilica with a wonderful interior field with peach and grey tiles, marble
columns and arches with an impressive ceiling made of decorative tilework! Fun fact: this
Basilica is also known as being the place where Romeo and Juliet got married.
Finally, as Verona is known for Romeo and Juliet, you might want to visit Juliet’s House and
see the famous balcony from the play. You can also visit the house and learn some facts
about the play and the history surrounding this house (entry fee: 6€).
