Dear Friends and Travel Addicts,
Pack your coat and gloves as we are taking a trip to the highest mountain in Europe! Embark
on this new journey with us that will lead you to Interlaken, Chamonix, the Mont Blanc, and
We will leave late in the evening and after a comfy bus ride through Europe, we will arrive in
the morning in Interlaken. Being in Interlaken is the opportunity to enjoy marvellous Alps
landscapes but also nature and peace. There, you can do lots of activities, from highking, to
biking, swimming, and paragliding, in Interlaken almost everything is possible!
In order to fully enjoy your time there, here are some of our recommendation!
Our first offer for you is kind of the craziest: going paragliding about the lake! With a 12 to 30
minutes flight discover the beauty of the lake’s Thun and Brienz and the Alpine panorama
with the Mount Titlis, Jungfraujoch and so on. Paragliding there is an experience you will
never forget! (fee of 160€ for the whole activity)
If you are afraid of height but still crave some crazy adventure, rent a jetboat and glide along
the lake and its waterfalls! This experience is a one of a kind but also breath-taking! For
some more fun, enjoy some crazy rapid 360-degree rotation that will make you lose your
mind! (fee of 47€ for this activity)
In Interlaken, you also must climb Harder Kulm as the view up there is simply breath-taking.
To go there, you can hike or take the funicular (ticket cost 38€ for the ride). Be careful too as
hiking there is not free (a ticket to walk from Harder Kulm to Interlaken Hardenbahn will cost
As you arrive to the top of Harder Kulm, go, and walk on the viewing platform who even has
a glass floor! The view there is impressive and breath-taking, you will feel like in a movie!
While there you can even grab a bite at the panorama restaurant and have a taste at some
delicious swiss cheese specialities like Cheese Fondue and Raclette! (fondue will cost you
24€ while raclette cost 11€)
For more chill adventure, you can hangout by the lake’s and see the beautiful Medieval
Village and St Beatus Caves above the Lake Thun! These two place are very beautiful to see
and often less touristic, so if you are looking for less crowded but still beautiful places, here
Finally, if you look for another crazy adventure before you leave, you can join an excursion to
Jungfraujoch, the top of Europe! This unique journey includes trains and funicular so that you
can stand at the top of the Jungfraujoch (3,454 metres above sea level) and feel like the king
of Europe! This is a once a lifetime experience that, believe us, you will never forget! (whole
excursion cost 169,99€ online or 211€ at Interlaken ticket office)
After a nice day in Interlaken, we will head up to our next destination: Chamonix where we
will check in at the hotel and spend a cosy evening in the mountains!
As there are a lot of restaurants and bars you can also choose to enjoy your evening strolling
from one to another. Due to the many possibilities there, our recommendation is just to take
a look at all of the Menu (available in front of the restaurants) and choose your favourite!
If you are a player, you can also have some fun at the Casino Le Royal and play all night
long poker and other card games!
The sun will rise and our second day in Chamonix will start! After a nice and tasty breakfast
at the hotel we will enjoy our free time in Chamonix! Here are our recommendation to spend
the best day there!
Chamonix is famous as it is located at the bottom of the Mont Blanc and is a nice Alps city.
Enjoy strolling around the little streets seeing the typical French restaurants, bars, little
souvenirs boutiques and so on.
In Chamonix is also the Aiguille du Midi, and a must do when you are there is to climb it! But
do not worry, this mountain is easier to climb as the Mont Blanc as you will take… a cable
ride. As you arrive, you will see that the view there is unbelievable and the feeling of
powerfulness too! Your ears might hurt a little bit due to the high altitude, but it is worth it.
Being up there is a truly unique feeling of freedom.
At the top of the Aiguille you can also find a glass-box in the void in which you can enter and
enjoy the white and pure scenery in front of you! The queue to go there can be a bit long but
believe us, it is worth it! Moreover, the access to it is free, so do not hesitate! (ticket for the
Aiguille du Midi access cost 63€)
After a long day, you can also chill in one of the Spa and Wellness centre of the city like le
Spa du Mont-Blanc and enjoy some jacuzzi, hammam and swimming pool. (prices start at
15€ and go higher depending on what you want to do)
As everything good must come to an end, we will leave Chamonix but do not worry as we
have one final stop before we go home: Geneva! We will stay there for approximately two to
three hours so let’s take a look at the possibility we have there:
First and mandatory stop, Geneva Lake! This one you cannot miss as it is the largest lake in
Central Europe. To fully appreciate it, participate in a little cruise along the lake and see the
beautiful landscapes but also the city from another perspective!
Near the lake, you will also see the Jet d’Eau, this five hundred litre Jet d’Eau is 140 metres
high and impressive to see! Be careful if you want to go near it as you might end up getting
wet but the selfie potential there is big!
The Old-City in Geneva is also very nice to visit. The old buildings, the cathedral and
cobblestone streets are nice to stroll around. While visiting the Vielle Ville, you will feel like
going back in time. Fun Fact, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the famous philosopher and writer,
was born here!
For a bit of Swiss artworks, you can visit the Art and History Museum of Genava. Inside, you
will find some nice Swiss and Genevan art but also the famous work of Jean-Etienne Liotard
and Rodolphe Töpffe. (free entry except from some temporary expositions)
Before you leave Geneva, you can also dine at Café Papon, an historic building of the Old
Town of Geneva. This place has been host to several important political discussion’s and it
serves some delicious food! However, be careful as it tends to be a bit expensive, if you
rather eat at affordable prices you can go to La Buvette des Bains as you will get an amazing
view on the Jet d’Eau while eating some delicious food! (fondue cost 22€, soups 13€)
As we finish our day in Geneva, our adventure will be over and, we will hit the road back
home! However, you will not feel sad or alone as you will have with you many memories and
souvenirs of the different places we visited and new friends for the future! But your Uniflucht
adventure is not over and we will see you soon for yet another crazy and fun journey through
Your Uniflucht Team
