Tour Details
Strasbourg & Colmar
Dear Uniflucht Family,

It’s the time of year when dodgy festive jumpers are acceptable and mulled wine is flowing freely. Many of us are excitedly making travel plans to visit beautiful cities and experience the Christmas feeling.
To help you plan your visit to these marvelous cities, we’ve created this itinerary with the best things to see and do, taking you on – and off – the beaten path so you not only check out the main sights but you also get to know the locals and culture too.
📍Take a trip with us to see the beauty of Strasbourg & Colmar
Strasbourg, in eastern France, is home to one of Europe’s oldest Christmas markets, with the first edition taking place in 1570. Today there are 10 locations with 300 stalls, meaning it’s easy to spend the best part of a week here indulging in end-of-year festivities, picking up decorations and presents and drinking local Alsatian wine.

Note : We provide a full refund if the trip is canceled by our side.
Itinerary

Day 1📆26 November 2021 - Friday

– Departures from Germany
– Are you ready to start a new journey with Uniflucht? Pack your bags, get ready to make new friends and kick a good start of your trip !

Day 2📆27 November 2021 - Saturday

– Arrival in Colmar will be in the morning around 09.00
– We will spend around 3.5 hours here.
Christmas in Colmar is a dream. When you take a city that already looks like a gingerbread town and then deck it with wreaths, ornaments, and snow-covered trees, it’s hard to think of anything that feels more appropriate for the holiday season. There are lights and decorations everywhere. Plus, the Colmar Christmas market is consistently named one of the best Christmas markets in Europe, and the whole city is awash in the sights and smells of the holidays.
Arrival in Strasbourg should be at noon around 12.30pm.
– We will have a city tour with a local guide around 2 hours.
– After the city tour we will leave you at the city centre and you will have free time.
Strasbourg at Christmas time looks to me what Dr. Seuss had in mind when he was constructing “Whoville” in How The Grinch Stole Christmas. It’s literally like you’re stepping into a magical town of lights, abundant, crazy, Christmas decorations on every window, the smell of mulled wine wafting through the air, and Christmas music drifts through the picturesque town. They don’t call it the Capital de Noël (The Capital of Christmas) for no reason. Christmas markets in Strasbourg are world famous, and the gargantuan Christmas tree in the town square might just bring tears to your eyes. The Alsace area of France just might be one of the prettiest in Europe but Strasbourg takes the cake when it comes to Christmas.
😍 Strasbourg and Colmar have much more to offer than you possibly expect.
🚍Departure late in the evening from Strasbourg City Center : 22.00 (approx.)

Day 3📆28 November 2021 - Sunday

– Arrival in Germany in the morning.
– The exact time of arrival can be confirmed after the bus leaves
Strasbourg. Feel free to contact the bus driver or one of the Uniflucht leaders.

This is mandatory and must be a maximum of 24h old) or a POC-Antigen test (minimum 28 days and maximum 6 months after the infection) or proof of vaccination (minimum 2 weeks after the second shot) if the 7-day-incidence rate of the first city of departure is over 50. This will be announced in our info mail that we send out 3 days before the trip and post in our Facebook group of the trip.

Everybody is required to bring face masks. We recommend also bringing hand sanitizer.
All of our passengers have to show a negative test, an antigen test or proof of vaccination.
We encourage everybody to social distance while exploring the destination anywhere possible.

MY COVID TEST WAS POSITIVE. DO I GET A REFUND ?

Unfortunately, we cannot refund you in case you have to cancel your trip due to any reason including a positive Covid test. We are trying to be as flexible with refunds as possible, but we also need to be fair to our crew members who count on having healthy folks to take out traveling. We also sign contracts and pay all of our suppliers in advance, and as a result, we do not receive a refund if we cancel after signed deadlines. We advise to get travel insurance and to check if you will be reimbursed, should you test positive before a trip and need to cancel.

I TESTED POSITIVE AFTER THE TRIP. WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW ?

In this case, please contact us immediately so we are able to let everybody on the trip know that someone was tested positive shortly after. This information remains anonymous; however, we need to be able to tell everybody that they need to get tested again and quarantine, so it’s really important that you let us know. The information also has to be registered at the local health department

NOTE:

As you know, the restrictions may change daily. If there are any other requirements implemented by the government then we will communicate them as soon as it’s possible. As the trend is positive lately, we don’t expect stricter restrictions; however, should further requirements arise, they are not a reason for free cancelations. If new restrictions make it impossible for us to carry out the trip smoothly, then the entire trip will get cancelled and everybody on our attending list will receive a full refund.
