Amsterdam & Zaanse Schans

Dear Uniflucht Family,

Again Amsterdam? Sure, we love this city!

We are going to visit the one of the craziest and most beautiful cities of Europe: Amsterdam !

Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands. It is known for its artistic heritage, a widely branched system of canals and narrow houses with gable facades that date back to the so-called Golden Age of the city in the 17th century.
The Museum Quarter is home to the Van Gogh Museum, the Rijksmuseum with works by Rembrandt and Vermeer, and the Stedelijk Museum of Modern Art. Cycling is part of the city culture, so the cityscape is characterized by numerous cycle paths.

Zaanse Schans is one of those cities that is the perfect Dutch postcard: think windmills, wooden houses and green lawns. Zaanse Schans windmills are rightfully one of the most famous tourist attractions in the Netherlands.

We are expecting a large number for this trip. Our seats run out so fast as always, so we highly recommend you book your seat ASAP!

Day 1📆 04 November 2023 (Saturday)

Are you ready to start a new journey with Uniflucht? Pack your bags, get ready to make new friends and kick a good start of your trip !
Arrival to Zaanse Schans will be in the morning.
First, we will take you to Zaanse Schans
There we will spend around 2 hours to have breakfast, enjoy the landscape, take perfect photos and explore Zaanse Schans.

Things to do in Zaanse Schans;

Visit a working windmill;
Go cheese tasting
Try out a Dutch Pancake

Next, we will head to Amsterdam

Right after the arrival we will take a boat tour, organized by UNIFLUCHT, around the beautiful canals of Amsterdam.
The tour will be guided in English and German language (optional).
After the boat tour (optional) you will have free time to explore the rest of the city.
What can you do in Amsterdam during the day?
Depending on what you enjoy to do, the city has loads to offer!
There are still all the main sights of Amsterdam, e.g;
The best known museums: Rijksmuseum, Anne Frank House, Van Gogh Museum
For Beer Lovers: Visit Heineken Experience
Vondelpark: You can run, cycle around, play sports, or just chill.
Check out the Foodhallen where you will have many options to choose what to eat
Departure late in the evening from Amsterdam City Center around 22.00.

Day 2📆 05 November 2023 (Sunday)

Arrival in Germany early in the morning.
The exact time of arrival can be confirmed after the bus leaves Amsterdam. Feel free to contact the bus driver or one of the Uniflucht leaders.
