Tour Details
Strasbourg & Colmar

Dear Uniflucht Family,

It’s the time of year when dodgy festive jumpers are acceptable and mulled wine is flowing freely. Many of us are excitedly making travel plans to visit beautiful cities and experience the Christmas feeling.
To help you plan your visit to these marvelous cities, we’ve created this itinerary with the best things to see and do, taking you on – and off – the beaten path so you not only check out the main sights but you also get to know the locals and culture too.
📍Take a trip with us to see the beauty of Strasbourg & Colmar
Strasbourg, in eastern France, is home to one of Europe’s oldest Christmas markets, with the first edition taking place in 1570. Today there are 10 locations with 300 stalls, meaning it’s easy to spend the best part of a week here indulging in end-of-year festivities, picking up decorations and presents and drinking local Alsatian wine.

Refund Policy

• We provide you a 100% refund if the trip is canceled by UNIFLUCHT.

Itinerary

Day 1📆 24 November 2023 - Friday

  • Departures from Germany
  • Are you ready to start a new journey with Uniflucht? Pack your bags, get ready to make new friends and kick a good start of your trip !

Day 2📆 25 November 2023 - Saturday

  • Arrival in Colmar will be in the morning around 08.30
  • We will spend around 3.5 hours here.
  • Christmas in Colmar is a dream. When you take a city that already looks like a gingerbread town and then deck it with wreaths, ornaments, and snow-covered trees, it’s hard to think of anything that feels more appropriate for the holiday season. There are lights and decorations everywhere. Plus, the Colmar Christmas market is consistently named one of the best Christmas markets in Europe, and the whole city is awash in the sights and smells of the holidays.
  • Arrival in Strasbourg should be at noon around 13.00pm.
  • Strasbourg at Christmas time looks to me what Dr. Seuss had in mind when he was constructing “Whoville” in How The Grinch Stole Christmas. It’s literally like you’re stepping into a magical town of lights, abundant, crazy, Christmas decorations on every window, the smell of mulled wine wafting through the air, and Christmas music drifts through the picturesque town. They don’t call it the Capital de Noël (The Capital of Christmas) for no reason. Christmas markets in Strasbourg are world famous, and the gargantuan Christmas tree in the town square might just bring tears to your eyes. The Alsace area of France just might be one of the prettiest in Europe but Strasbourg takes the cake when it comes to Christmas.
  • Strasbourg and Colmar have much more to offer than you possibly expect.
  • Departure late in the evening from Strasbourg City Center : 22.00 (approx.)

Day 3📆 26 November 2023 - Sunday

  • Arrival in Germany in the morning.
  • The exact time of arrival can be confirmed after the bus leaves Strasbourg. Feel free to contact the bus driver or one of the Uniflucht leaders.
